This year, 1979-1980, has been a special
year for many of us here at Bayfield High School.
We, the Wolverine staff, have tried to capture
some of the most important events, so that in
the years to come when each of you look through
the 1980 Wolverine you may be able to remember
the joys and hopes of this year.

CO-EDITORS

Ray Dunavant

The year of 1980 was an exciting one,
full of fun , discoveries, hard work, tears
and friends. It was a special year with its
own special memories .
I hope as you turn these pages into the
past that you can relive some of those treasured
moments in B.H.S.
I would especially like to thank the
annual staff for all the time and effort they
put into this annual . I hope you enjoy it.

SUPERINTENI)ENr
PRINCIPALS

Mid-School

High School

Mr. Gordon Bradshaw
During this fast moving age, our
teenagers seem to be caught in the middle
.of several controversies and have often
been blamed for many of the problems in
our country. Be that as it may, our
country has never produced greater young
people than these at the present, who
are striving to make this world a little
more liveable for themselves and those
that are yet to come.
The Wolverine gives a pictorial
account of a group of young students who
live in this age, and are a vital part
of it. Perhaps these people will live a
better life because of the influence of
Bayfield High; and perhaps Bayfield High
School will be a better school because
these students came and spent a small
part of their lives here.
The Wolverine is filled with memories of our students, and though such
memories are unimportant to those outside our school, they mean a great deal
to us---they are ours to remember.

Mr: John Miller
Mr. Herb Weissenfels
Today's youth are the
backbone of our country for
tomorrow. Education is the
tool which we provide for
them to operate with.
Educators, therefore, are
investing, in the purest
sense, in their futures
and take great pride in
good results and the youth
at Bayfield High School.
I am deeply dedicated to
the goal of providing the
best for our people because
the potential is definitely
here to produce the outstanding leaders and citizens
of tomorrow. The future
belongs to us today!

The education of young
adults is a multi-faceted
process. It involves much
more than teaching academic
skills. It involves helping
one mature and assume the
responsibilities of adulthood. It is my goal to meet
this challenge with each
student and help them strive
to be a responsible and
productive citizen.
