"Parting is such sweet sorrow." This depends upon the circum
stances. To you as seniors or other students,

f'

ing upon a new adventure o Life.

you are embark

You are putting the past

behind you as a stepping stone and allowing someone else to
make a greater achievement in your stead.
Your ambitions are beginning to be realized in some small
numbers,

but it has been brought about mostly by your hard

labor and your ability to carry any project to its completion.
It will be hard to realize next year that you will have gone to
greater fields because I have watched many of you "increase
in wisdom and in favor with God and Man."

Superintendent

ADMINISTRATION

To the Senior Class of 1965 I would like to ex
tend my congratulations. Completing high school
has many and varied meanings to each of you. To
some it is not an end to formal education,

but is

rather a "jumping off place" to go on to college
and a life1 s work which is still some time ahead of
you. To others it is the starting point for an imm
ediate beginning of your life's ork. To all of
you,

however, I sincerely hope that it will not

mean the end of the opportunity to learn,

but

rather that it will have been only one phase of
learning in your lives,
ceed in a better,

and that now you can pro

more mature way to learn even

more throughout the years ahead,

no matter what

your work or where you are.
To the Class of 1965--in fact,

to all of our

fine students--may you always strive to be a pos
itive,

considerate,

fonvard-looking persons. You

will never regret the effort.

"SPIRIT DAY"
A new tradition was begun at B.H. S. this year. It was sponsored by Student Council and was
named "Spirit Day" Students wore crazy outfits and original signs promoting school spirit. Students
were judged--Karen Huntington took first place this year. Spirit Day was held preceding the Bay
field-Pagosa game and proved to be a big success.
