THIS YEAR'S ANNUAL STAFF
VEVICATES
THIS YEAR BOOK TO
"MR. WAYNE VUGGER"

As far as possible without surrender be on
good terms with all persons.
Speak your
truth quietly and clearly; listen to others,
even the dull and ignorant; they too have
their story.
If you compare yourself with others, you
may become vain and bitter; for always
there will be greater and lesser persons
than yourself.
Enjoy your achievement
as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in
the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise
caution in your business affairs; for
the world is full of trickery.
But let
this not blind you to what virtue there
is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and every where life is full of heroism.

tel!

Many years from now we see the Bayfield High School Class of 1982 holding one
tel!
of its class reunions, and we find out just how successful some of them really turned 0~
out. As we have a talk with the boys in the class, this is what they tell us.
o~

~

~

~

~ Matt Bedford tells us after he sold his fruit packing corporation to pay off his

·~

~
~

~

debts, he got a job working for his old corporation as a packer.
~
~After buying 739 used pickups, Pat Benally finally found a good one and now is ready
t~
to leave Bayfield, but he doesn't know where to.go.
o~
cfl After working hard and becoming a millionaire, Bobby Binckes decided that he didn't
Jb
~ like having all that money and gave it to his favorite charity, the "Save The Preppie
~
~ Foundation. ••
-wv
~ Scott Conrad was last seen living in his Porche 911 on a lonely beach just outside
'~
~ San Diego, and was unable to attend this year's reunion.
~
~After many years of industrious labor, John Green finally graduated from college
c~
with a degree in almost every subject he could take.
c~
~ Sam Green is now a C.P.A. and handles all his families accounting needs. Somehow
ccfi
~ though, he still can't balance his mom's checkbook.
c
cfc After graduating from college with a degree in Physical Education, Steve Irwin now
c~
cfc spends his time filming deodorant and shampoo commericals.
~
~ R.J. McKinney's wife has not seen very much of him since they were married. R.J.
c~
cfc was lost in his fleet of hot rods three years ago.
c~ (
~ After years of hard work, Dan McManus has finally realized all his high school ambitions.c~
He is married and has his own investigation agency where he spends most of his time
c~ s
cfl setting up surveillance on his two teenage kids.
c-t, B
cfc After having bought the entire state of Texas as his own private ranch, Randy Riggs
.~ d
cfc has settled down to become the second J.R. Ewing.
.~ A
cfc Paul Rogers was unable to attenc our reunion since he does not speak to anyone with
~ s
cfc less than 500 million dollars, and then by appointment only!
~ W
~ Brian Schultz fulfilled his ambition and retired before he started working.
His only
~ s
problem is trying to collect a pension.
~ C
cfc K.C. Sower and his wife left on the space shuttle and now run a thriving hotel on
~~ a
cfc the new moon co 1ony.
• a
cfl After becoming a forest ranger, Larry Thompson took off inoto the woods to become
~ K
cfc a hermit and escape the pressures of life in the big city of Bayfield.
~ i
~ Perr~ Timme spends his time writing and publishing history books for Mrs. Martin at
~ S
~ B.A .• -m5 only problem is that he sometimes can •t remember the right dates and
~ s
~ usually prints them wrong.
~ D
cfl Millionaire Joe Graff recently purchased his old college, and has had the name changed ~ o
~ from the Schoo 1 of Mines, to the "Joe Graff $Schoo 1 of Money$! ••
\fi A
cfc After having become a playboy from the age of 12 to 28, we find Tony Peters filling
~ w
cfc Hugh Hefner's shoes and running his favorite magazine.
~ M
cfl After have his college basketball career brought to end, Ronnie Montgomery tells
~
us he is singing in a not-so-famous quartet, but still is making money calf-roping.
~
~ Wilson Northrup tells us he has been doing many concerts with his famous rock group,
~
~ known as the "Electric Punks. ••
~
~ Ricky Phelps, after completing his college basketball career is now playing for the
~ a
cfc Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers, making a measly $8000,000 a year.
~ After having been married for ten years, Vince Bailey is now the proud owner of the

Now we go over and have a talk with the girls.
~ to be very successful.

~

~

Some of them have turned out

~

ell

11
~~
~ Kim Bushey is now the proud owner of 11 Bushey' s Bunny Farm.

She is sti 11 1ooki ng
~ for a few hired hands because there are just too many rabbits for her to handle.
'~ Laura Carman has just become the head photographer for the F.B.I. She takes all
c~ their mug shots for them.
e~ Ronda Eagle is busy taking care of her two kids, who were both almost six feet tall
e.,t, when they were born.
·;v Gretchen Fitzgerald tells us she is living in a tepee at the state park just outside
~ Bayfield. She is still trying to liberate Bayfield.
~~ Janine Fitzgerald couldn't be with us today because she is in the hospital suffering
~ from a gunshot wound. In an interview with her, she said she dodged in front of
efi a bullet when an enraged farmer was trying to shoot a coyote for getting into a chicken
eel£ pen. Now that's taking Saving the CoyoteS a little too far.
c~ Chrystal Hearns has finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of being a top executive
c~ secretary. She is secretary for Randy Riggs running his large ranch.
c~ Teresa Hoover has finally decided that she didn't wand to get married. Instead,
~ she became a social worker.
c~ At the age of 36, Lorrie Howell finally got her first horse, which she named Richard,
c~ (after her brother) because it eats so much.
ns .c~ Donna Mi 11 er has changed her mind about wanting to make a 1i vi ng breaking horses
c~ since she spends most of her time in physical therapy.
c~ Being undecided between microbiology and computer science, Melissa Mueller finally
c~ decided it was easier to settle down and get married.
~After finally graduating from B.H.S., Starlene Naranjo tells us she wants to be a
t~ school teacher. She has decided she wants to be just like Mrs. Jones and teach English.
~ We were unable to inform Robin Reith about this reunion. We think she ran off to
~some deserted island because she couldn't handle living in the fast lane in Bayfield.
~Carie Ribaudo decided she wanted to be an accountant. Now she spends her time listing
·~ a 11 of her boyfriends into three different accounts: "so-so," "getting better,
.~ and "five stars!"
i!: Kris Russell has just received a letter from Joe Graff asking her to decorate the
~ inside of his $School of Money$ with nothing less than $100,000 bills.
~ Shanna Schmier has fulfilled her lifelong dream of being a music recorder. She now
~ spends her time recording Wilson's first release.
~ Debbie Sizemore is still trying to make it rich. One hint though, Debbie, move out
d ~of Bayfield and you might be more successful.
~ After receiving her masters in social working, Martha Stovall is now counseling children
with family problems.
If> Mandy Woodard wants to be an M.P. Usually "M.P." means Military Police, but in this
~case it means, "Married to Patrick."
~ Kare~Wolf says she was recently promoted to editor of the male fashion magazine,
~ G.Q., and now brings home a mere 500,000 dollars a year. She hasn't married yet,
~ but the last time she was in California, she was seen cruising around in her candy~ apple red Dino Ferrari with another of her male models.

We had our sights set to place high enough to go on to the
state Class A Playoff, but hard work doesn't always pay off.
Sometimes it seems unfair that a team can work so hard for weeks,
even months, and the only reward the players receive is the satisfaction of knowing that they have tried hard. Another source
of satisfaction was being able to hold the title "League Champions"
It has been 15 years since Bayfield last held that title. It was
a job will done by the team and all associated with it.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
